A haunting yet hopeful title track about an old train carrying the forgotten memories of the land.

“If This Train Could Talk” is a haunting yet hopeful railroad story, and the title track from the album If This Train Could Talk. The song follows an old train from California through Temecula, Four Corners, Slick Rock, Shiprock, and Reno, revealing forgotten memories carried in the land.

Along the route, the train recalls those still facing north, treaties hidden from public view, Leetso, the yellow earth tied to uranium mining, Little Boy in 1945, and a grieving woman near Shiprock remembering the man she loved. Blending modern Americana with a reverent wooden flute, the song becomes more than a journey across the West. It becomes a witness. By the end, the listener realizes the train had been telling the story all along, reminding us that history does not disappear simply because the world forgets.
