Stories We Grow By is a collection of songs from The Beelievers Band built around a simple idea: some of the most important lessons in life are learned through the stories we carry with us.

“Just Right” takes the familiar story of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” and turns it into something larger: a warm, funny reflection on the search for where we belong. Introduced by Kenny Roy’s deep Western Gothic baritone, the song unfolds like a story shared with old friends, backed by swinging Americana roots, acoustic guitar, upright bass, piano, brushed drums, Hammond organ, and playful harmonies.

Children hear the fun of porridge, chairs, beds, and three surprised bears, while adults hear a deeper message. Life may require trying the wrong road, dream, or fit before we recognize the one that feels like ours. With the singalong hook “Too hot, too cold, too fast, too slow,” “Just Right” celebrates curiosity, persistence, and the lessons hidden in wrong turns.
